My kids can now downhill ski. The entire family can be seen moving in a snake like fashion down COP on a regular basis. the kids can carry their own gear as well as get it on and off themselves. they still need some herding to get clothes on and into the car but we are going in the right direction.

I have been out xcountry skiing a few times in the last 2 weeks. i had forgotten just how hard the sport is, especially for a big man. COP is quite hilly and my lungs feel like they will explode regularly. I wish someone would build a flat course that gets good snow and grooming close to my house.

On a sad note, sarah’s granny died last night at the age of 94.
